I was always disappointed that the awesome green and later yellow on the civic was coupe only. I hope they make those colors available on the four or five door now that the coupe is dead.

I just wish we could keep the coupe. I liked the look they had going on but Honda never bothered to tell anyone they exist.

I didn't know the coupe was dead! I guess that officially makes VW the only company that makes 2 and 4 door models of their smallish cars now?

Yeah, this latest generation seems to have the fewest amount of coupes I see on the road. Can’t say I’m that surprised it’s going away.
I’m glad they’re keeping the hatchback around.

The Golf has been 5 door only for a while now, don't think VW offers anything without rear doors here in the states.

The hatch is built in the Swindon plant which is scheduled to close in 2021.

I sure hope so!

since a good H onda will last 15-20 years, I’m hoping this is just a gap of 5-7 years before they bring the coupe back! I’ll wait...

I think the Accord Coupe's market is still strong. They sold tons of those last gen coupes.

I can’t agree more. Those are Damn fine colours and I have no idea why they’re not available on the hatch at least. When I think cheap hatchback I think sunny skittles colours

They’re gonna move production of the hatch to North America... hopefully Alliston, Ontario.

Does the Veloster count?

Well not for the current generation. But here's hoping Honda wants to make a hatch for the next gen.

My theory seems to have been proven likely true.
With UK production of the hatchback coming to an end, and coupe sales dwindling, I figured Honda would cut the coupe to make room for moving hatchback production to North America.
Now, the only part of my theory left is the Type-R...does it’s production move alongside the NSX and PMC Edition Acuras in Ohio, or does it just move to wherever hatch production goes?
